How ReliFrame works
Enough to get you from a new account to a defensible analysis. Written for engineers, not for a search engine.
Getting started
ReliFrame is not open for sign-up yet. This page describes how the product works and is accurate about what it does, but it is not something you can use today. Join the waitlist and we will write to you when accounts open.
When it opens, signing up will ask for your name, email and a password — nothing else. ReliFrame names your workspace after you; there is no organisation to set up before you can begin.
You will verify your email address using a link we send. Until you do, the account exists but cannot sign in. Your first project is created for you, with the analyses your plan can open already in it.
The analysis methods
Every method lives in the same project and shares the same components, hazards and failure modes. Linking them is the point: a failure mode in an FMEA can be the basic event in a fault tree and the evidence behind a GSN claim.
- Reliability Prediction
- Parts-count and parts-stress prediction from your component BOM. Computes MTBF, FIT rates and failure-rate budgets. Community includes the two MIL-HDBK-217F methods; Professional adds the rest.
- FMEA / FMECA
- Failure mode and effects analysis with RPN scoring and severity, occurrence and detection ratings. Rows link to fault tree events and GSN solutions.
- Fault Tree Analysis
- Boolean logic reduction, minimal cut set enumeration, and qualitative and quantitative evaluation, traceable to the hazards in your Hazard Log.
- Hazard Log
- The register of hazards, their severity and likelihood, and the measures that control them.
- Reliability Block Diagram
- Series, parallel and k-of-n voting logic, with Monte Carlo simulation over a mission time.
- And on Professional
- HARA, SIL assessment, LOPA, event tree analysis, common cause failure, GSN assurance cases, Weibull life data, Markov analysis, FRACAS and mechanical prediction.
Standards
ReliFrame is built for work that has to be defended to an assessor. Analyses carry the standard they were produced against, and predictions record the standard and its revision alongside the result — so a number in a report can be traced to the method that produced it.
Supported prediction standards include MIL-HDBK-217F (parts count and parts stress), MIL-HDBK-217Plus, IEC 61709, FIDES 2022, Telcordia SR-332, NSWC-11 mechanical and China GJB/z 299C. Where a part cannot be computed, ReliFrame records that rather than substituting a default: a prediction that quietly returns zero for an unknown part is worse than one that says it does not know.
Projects and analyses
A project holds your analyses and the components, hazards and requirements they share. Analyses have a lifecycle — draft, in review, approved, baselined — and an approved analysis is locked against edits until it is reopened, so a baseline stays a baseline.
Every change is recorded: who made it, what it was before and after, and when. On Enterprise, changes to who may do what are recorded too.
Exports
Professional and Enterprise export to PDF and Excel. Reports carry the standard, its revision and the date, because an evidence pack that cannot say which revision produced a number is not evidence.
Your account
Your name, password, notification preferences and theme live under Account and are yours alone. Community and Professional are single-user plans. Enterprise adds an organisation: colleagues, seven roles, and per-role permissions an administrator can adjust.
